Altis Biosystems is a biotechnology company that develops, manufactures, and sells services and research tools to accelerate drug development, reducing the time and cost pharmaceutical companies require to access the medicines they need.
Altis Biosystems successfully finished Newchip’s Seed & Series A program and has led its first successful funding round, which is oversubscribed. Combine the innovative (patent-pending) technology that makes drug discovery, disease modeling, and microbiome research faster, cheaper, and safer, as well as reducing the need for animal testing, with the enthusiasm and determination of Michael, and you have an outstanding startup that is ready to effect real change in this growing industry.
Michael is a former US Army veteran with an extensive business background. He has held positions in sales and project management in the private sector. He also holds a B.S. in Marketing from Penn State University and an MBA degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Mahesh is an industry veteran with multiple years of experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries, successfully managing and leading teams within companies to increase revenue, profit, and business growth.
Mahesh has served as the President & CEO of PepVax as well as a Columnist for Pharma IQ and an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Philadelphia University. He has a proven track record of successfully implementing innovative product development projects and is able to break down barriers and provide highly credible leadership to development teams. He also has experience in taking an idea from concept to consumers and considerable knowledge on patents, business plans, fundraising, and incorporation.
Mahesh earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Pre-Med at Boston University and received his Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania.
