About Hello Woofy

HelloWoofy.com is a smart marketing platform for underdogs (aka small businesses) that has grown over 21,900% in 2020. The company counts nearly 7,000 B2B customers on its platform and has been backed by billionaire investor, Tim Draper, as well as, 1517 Fund and others. They have also successfully raised over $510,000 between two Reg CF campaigns.

While in the Newchip Accelerator, Arjun has built HelloWoofy up to ~$195,000 sales in under 12 months of operations and executed roughly 17M API calls using its advanced API technology (EmojiData.ai and WordData.ai). They are currently working with the Amazon Alexa division to launch a first-of-its-kind Alexa Content scheduler for SMBs to distribute content into customer living rooms (with opt-in).

About The Founder: Arjun Rai

Arjun completed his undergrad at the NYIT School of Management majoring in Small Business and Entrepreneurship. A few weeks into his college experience, he launched fuelbrite.com, a social media agency focused on small businesses and startups, as well as, a student-focused organization, TheBizDen. The next year, in 2012, he raised seed investment to build out another startup, Wrkbench.io, a virtual collaboration space designed for creative and visual people.

Following this, Arjun set out to modernize the industry he’s passionate about – social media. Thus, HelloWoofy.com was birthed as a social media management platform driven by artificial intelligence to help small to medium-sized businesses with digital marketing.

Arjun currently lives in New York City and is currently (or previously) a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and Golden Key International Honour Society. Professionally, Arjun is currently a member of The One Club, The Art Directors Club, The Advertising Club of NY, Social Media Marketing Society, IVY Connect Club, etc.

Newchip Quick Tip

When considering your fundraising plan in your financial model, consider the month you will break-even, not just the year. Also, take into account the expenses that will come early in that year (marketing, salaries, etc.) Don’t fall into the trap of “we will be profitable by 2022, so we will not need external funding to cover expenses that year.” Be sure to budget for those initial months accordingly.
