Newchip Company Spotlight: Designist

Founder: Chhavi Singh

DailyDesignist is a visual arts platform that promotes women artists around the world. It empowers, motivates, encourages, and showcases women through the only mobile, tech-savvy platform of its kind. DailyDesignist provides a myriad of live and online art classes – ranging anywhere from contemporary to folk art – that are geared both towards kids and adults. Since launching in May 2020, DailyDesignist has built a loyal customer base with hundreds of repeat customers (art students) and has also recently partnered with the online coding school, Geeklama. The platform also provides an AR and AI enabled marketplace to sell original handmade paintings and hand painted art wearables made by women artists.

DailyDesignist is also partnering with corporations (including one of Big 4) to provide art therapy services online for mindfulness and mental health. DailyDesignist will graduate from the Newchip Accelerator in February 2021 and is currently in discussions with investors for its first round of funding. Please take a look at some noteworthy PR/media coverage.

About The Founder: Chhavi Singh

Chhavi Singh earned her MBA from NYU and has worked with investment banks such as UBS and Morgan Stanley for over a decade. She was compelled to launch this platform after seeing an underlying problem of underrepresented women artists and the lack of a dedicated infrastructure for the same. DailyDesignist started locally less than one year ago and now has 400 artists from 16 countries.
